That is correct. You will need to find the visa counter before going through passport control. You will pay them the fee $25 they will take your passport and call you up when it’s ready.

Beware of the scams during your tour. Everything is made to look like a tourist attraction but in reality is just a tourist trap where visitors are almost forced into buying things they don't want or need. Also visitors are often forced to give tips. I hope you will have a better experience than what we had but just be careful. If you have time go to Hoi An - it's beautiful.
