Great walking trail across the lake and dunes. Lovely view at the end of the trail. The trail is easy. Made of wooden planks.Full review by Minootravel

This is a conservation area administered by the state , not a "park". Day parking only (closes at sunset) is $5 per car, or you may park along the roadside (off pavement) just outside for free. There have been a few window smash break-ins occasionally so hide valuables or take with you. Take water along-- its a good hike to the ocean, Can be quite windy at the shore. No water available along hike. Porta-potties near the ocean end of the trail. The "lakes" are not "fresh-water", but rain and agricultural irrigation runoff from the fields nearby, so fish from lake are not edible. (CA fishing license is req'd).
