A beautiful day so high up in the mountains, the glacier was spectacular but snow cover a bit light. Amazing coffee shop at the top of the cable car. A bit busy though on a Saturday.Full review by Eugene T

We wanted to go to the glacier, but turns out you have to buy the tickets in advance. We never heard of this information anywhere before. Very disappointing. Additionally the prices are very high.…Full review by florianb915

Hello, We are a group of 6 and are travelling to Chain in the second week of October and have about 2.5 days in Lijiang. I would like to visit the Jade Dragon mountain. Can we buy the tickets online in advance? We plan to carry simple sweaters and jackets but do we need to carry snow boots?

Not sure if you can make online reservation. We bought the ticket there. You need jacket, wind-breaker, but snow boots not necessary as there are walking platform.
Only have 1 1/2 days in Lijiang and wondering if taking the trip to jade dragon mtn is worthwhile? We would be doing a private tour and the whole day would be 8 hrs. We love nature, etc but we are also from the US and do a lot of skiing in CO ... is this view / experience a must?. Struggling with this one! Thanks in advance for any input!
