Caitlin Clark appeared to injure her right groin late in the Indiana Fever's 85-77 win over the Connecticut Sun on Tuesday, July 15.
Clark had avoided injuries throughout her NCAA and WNBA stints until this season. The two-time All-Star has missed 10 games with quadriceps and groin injuries; the physical problems have affected her stats.
After the game, Fever coach Stephanie White indicated that Clark "felt a little something in her groin," per IndyStar 's Chloe Peterson. An evaluation will follow, per White. It's possible that this could be a new groin injury on the right side of her body, per a reporter's observation from the post-game press conference.
Former Iowa women’s basketball star Caitlin Clark left the Indiana Fever's game early on July 15, after appearing to suffer another lower-body injury.
The Fever guard left Tuesday's game against the Sun in the fourth quarter with an apparent groin injury. She grimaced in pain after an assist to Kelsey Mitchell and exited shortly afterward.
