The notoriously challenging course in Pennsylvania will soon officially claim its first victims, including a pair of former champions that represent LIV Golf.

J.J. Spaun stunned everyone by carding a bogey-free 66, only the second such round ever at a U.S. Open held at Oakmont to grab the lead on Thursday.

Atop the leaderboard entering Round 2 is J.J. Spaun, whose bogey-free 66 to open play impressed to a degree not often seen in Western Pennsylvania.
