One person was killed in a small plane crash Sunday morning near Lancaster Airport, according to the Lancaster County Coroner's Office.The plane went down around 8 a.m., shortly after takeoff. The crash site is in a cornfield along the 500 block of Stauffer Road.

The pilot of a single-engine aircraft is dead after his plane went down shortly after takeoff from Lancaster Airport on Sunday morning.
