Jacoby Brissett – instrumental in Arizona Cardinals’ win against the Dallas Cowboys – had a stock answer ready for the question of whether he has done enough to be the replacement, not just the fill-in, at quarterback for Kyler Murray.
Kyler Murray comes home to North Texas as his Arizona Cardinals (2-5) face the Dallas Cowboys (3-4-1). Dallas hopes to regain its offensive firepower back on its home turf, while Murray, an Allen and OU product, puts his unbeaten streak at AT&T Stadium on the line.
The only notable hiccup for the Cardinals came when Pat O'Donnell had a punt blocked in the second quarter, leading to a Cowboys touchdown. Outside of that play, Dallas didn't do much offensively. Ryan Flournoy caught a late touchdown pass, but it only cut the deficit to 10 in the fourth quarter, and Dallas never got closer.
Both rookies and free agent additions had critical contributions in the Cardinals' 27-17 win over the Cowboys.
