Charles K. Green, 44, was charged with murder and arson in the death Wednesday of CFD Capt. David Meyer, 54, during a fire in the Austin neighborhood.

Captain David Meyer had been with the Fire Department since 1996, serving mostly in busy fire houses on the West Side "doing what he loved," officials said.
