Special counsel Jack Smith says in a new report that his team “stood up for the rule of law" as it investigated President-elect Donald Trump's efforts to overturn the 2020 election. Smith submitted to Congress early Tuesday a report detailing his team's findings about Trump's efforts to cling to power.

A judge has cleared the way for the U.S. Justice Department to release its report on Donald Trump's election interference case, however, a temporary injunction is in place until tomorrow.
