Clouds of Saharan dust, originating in North Africa, have made their way across the Alantic Ocean and are impacting states along the Gulf of Mexico this week.

Dust carried across the Atlantic is one of the great wonders of the weather world. This is the most significant cloud so far this year.

Dust isn't the only threat out there, especially for those with respiratory problems. Smoke from Canadian wildfires is moving south into the U.S., although it is not expected to last as long or be as bad in Florida as it was almost two years ago.
