Dauphin County officials released the 911 call placed by Cody Balmer, the man accused of setting fire to Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro's residence over the weekend.

In a roughly minute-long phone call to Dauphin County 911, the man accused of setting three fires in Gov. Josh Shapiro’s official residence told dispatchers Pennsylvania’s chief executive needed to leave his family and friends alone.

Less than a week after a destructive arson at Gov. Josh Shapiro’s mansion that threatened his and his family’s lives, Shapiro made the case Friday for additional funding for the state’s firefighters.
