A Lower Macungie Township couple accused of abusing and malnourishing their teenage sons are now charged with conspiring to kill them. Charges of conspiracy to commit murder in the third degree were filed Friday against Joshua Dechant,

Joshua D. Dechant, 36, and his wife, Tracy A. Dechant, 42, of Lower Macungie Township, are now charged with two counts each of conspiracy to commit murder, felony aggravated assault, felony intimidation of witnesses, felony unlawful restraint of a minor, felony false imprisonment, misdemeanor simple assault and misdemeanor reckless endangerment.
