The New York Rangers have some big decisions to make that will dictate the direction of the franchise. After a dreadful month of December, the Rangers are starting to get back on track as they hold a 4-1-2 record through January thus far.

The Rangers are reportedly targeting Elias Pettersson and J.T. Miller, and one of them is a fantastic fit before the NHL Trade Deadline.

But as the Rangers sit four points back of the final playoff spot with five teams to pass, this recent uptick probably won’t have a dramatic effect on the hierarchy’s plan approaching the March 7 trade deadline.
