Here are highlights from the Detroit Tigers' 9-4 loss to the Minnesota Twins on Wednesday at Comerica Park. Luke Keaschall got the Twins on the board first with a two-run double, scoring Matt Wallner and Alan Roden in the first inning.

A trio of Tigers homers off of Twins starter Pierson Ohl gave Detroit a 4-3 lead in the third inning and knocked Ohl out of the game. But Minnesota's offense had plenty of punching left to do. Brooks Lee, after singling and scoring in the second inning, launched a 430-foot bomb to the deepest park of the park in the fourth, tying the game at 4-4.

On July 8, the Detroit Tigers controlled a 14-game lead in the American League Central. Just 29 days later, the Tigers' advantage in the AL Central is down to six games. That has happened in a 23-game stretch, 46 games remaining in the 2025 season.
