We're going on three days without the Cincinnati Bengals adding a new player in free agency. Monday of legal negotiating brought in running back Samaje Perine for a reunion along with true newcomers in nose tackle TJ Slaton and linebacker Oren Burks.

So far, the Bengals have primarily focused on locking down their own with names like tight end Mike Gesicki and defenders Joseph Ossai and B.J. Hill. Newcomers T.J. Slaton and linebacker Oren Burks on the defensive side of the ball are rotational players at best. Big needs like offensive line have gone unaddressed.

The Bengals' approach to free agency has been underwhelming at best. They simply haven't added enough talent to their roster. While things look bleak, it's worth pointing out that there is still plenty of quality talent available.
