Ahead of Halloween, Entertainment Weekly is counting down the 25 best horror movie villains of all time, from Pinhead to Pennywise.

Every day until October 31, the major streamers are running as many horror films as they possibly can. There are a lot of modern selections to choose from, but a lot fewer classic horror flicks if you don't want to pay a rental fee.

The weekly screening and lecture exposed me to a wide range of scary movies, from classics like “Halloween,” to truly traumatic stories like “I Spit On Your Grave,” to David Cronenberg’s “ The Brood ,” which gave me a lifetime fear of children wearing snowsuits (they do bad things in that movie).
