General Motors introduced the Multi-Flex tailgate with the 2021 Chevy Silverado 1500, offering a Chevy-branded version of GMC’s MultiPro tailgate that includes the same capabilities and functions.
The tailgate has existed since the dawn of pickup trucks way back in the early 1900s. However, it wasn’t until just recently that pickup manufacturers figured out that tailgates can be so much more.
