Invest 91L in the Gulf of America has a low chance of developing into a named storm. The system is expected to bring heavy rain and possible storms to Florida over the weekend. A storm system that started the day as an upper-level low off the Florida coast in the Gulf of America is now Invest 91L and being watched by the National Hurricane Center.
While areas across Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi are expected to receive extreme rainfall and flooding from an approaching storm system, Sarasota and Manatee counties are not expected to see similar conditions, extending what has already been a dry summer.
