NASCAR star Greg Biffle and his family were among seven people who were killed when a small business jet crashed at Statesville Regional Airport in North Carolina.

The business jet erupted into a large fire when it hit the ground while trying to land at Statesville Regional Airport, about 72 kilometres north of Charlotte.
