The Newberry Police Department arrested a person in connection with a shooting that took place Friday night.

The new hospital that was designed to bring emergency care closer to home for northern York County is just weeks away from its first patient.

Police say two female victims were shot Friday night in Newberry and hospitalized. A 22-year-old suspect was arrested nearby.
