Most prognosticators were correct — Aaron Rodgers won't reinvent the wheel with his jersey number choice as the starting quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers this season. He's going back to his familiar No. 8, a number donned the last two years with the New York Jets.

Aaron Rodgers will wear No. 8 for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Rodgers wore No. 12 throughout his entire Green Bay Packers career, but he switched to No. 8, which he wore in college at Cal, when he landed with the Jets in 2023. No. 12 was unavailable in New York with that jersey retired in honor of Super Bowl III-winning quarterback Joe Namath.

However, major sportsbook DraftKings disagrees. They haven’t budged on the odds the Steelers win the Super Bowl, which currently sits at -4000. The Steelers are behind the Minnesota Vikings (+3000) and the Denver Broncos (+2500), but are ahead of the Dallas Cowboys, who come in at +6000.
