GE Appliances says it has awarded more than $150 million in new contracts to U.S. suppliers as a result of its decision to shift production from China to Kentucky.

GE Appliances announced Thursday that more than $150 million in new contracts have been awarded to U.S.-based suppliers across 10 states for steel, resins, parts and components.

The company, now owned by a Chinese conglomerate, is investing $150 million in 19 American suppliers across 10 states.
