I-295 at Old St. Augustine Road was closed and backed up for hours after a crash Sunday afternoon that killed two people on motorcycles, according to law enforcement.
Florida Highway Patrol Sergeant Dylan Bryan said one semi-truck involved in the crash became "engulfed in flames" when the collision happened.
The agency said the two motorcycles both occupying the left center lane had a "sideswipe type collision" around 1 p.m. Sunday.
