CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The South Texas Botanical Gardens are not only taking care of their beautiful plants, but also their animals -- by moving them to areas with backup generators. They were hard at work Monday, covering them up with blankets, tarps, and frost cloths -- even using hay from mulch to protect more sensitive plants at the roots.
