After nobody picked him up as a free agent following last season with the Orlando Magic, Fultz has been signed by the Sacramento Kings, who will look to the former No. 1 overall pick to help fill some of the point guard void left behind by the trade of De'Aaron Fox to the San Antonio Spurs.

When the Sacramento Kings signed free agent Markelle Fultz, it was seen as a low-risk signing to bolster the point guard and end-of-the-bench depth, but three games into his Sacramento tenure, Fultz is already showing how important the signing was for the Kings.

Former Orlando Magic guard Markelle Fultz signed with the Sacramento Kings late Wednesday night, and many of his former teammates chimed in to celebrate.

The Sacramento Kings signed former No. 1 overall draft pick Markelle Fultz for the remainder of the season. The team announced the deal with Fultz on Wednesday night as the Kings seek more depth at point guard after recently trading away star De’Aaron Fox.

Since then, the Kings have struggled to find a PG they can rely on. On Wednesday evening, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported the Kings are signing Markelle Fultz to a contract. The 76ers selected Markelle Fultz out of Washington with the first pick in the 2017 NBA draft.
