Bryson DeChambeau finished tied for fourth at the LIV Golf Virginia, held at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club. He shot a 6-under 65 in the final round to end the tournament at 13-under overall.
However, the highlight of the tournament was Phil Mickelson's flop shot. On the par-4 17th at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club, the 54-year-old birdied by hoisting an improbable sideways flop shot from a greenside bunker rim. Even Bryson DeChambeau was left mesmerized.
Bryson DeChambeau chipped in for an eagle and a birdie on his way to a 5-under-par 66, and he shares the first-round lead with Germany’s Martin Kaymer at LIV Golf Virginia on Friday in Gainesville, Va.
