The top-ranked teams in the field face off today as the LSU Tigers face the Arkansas Razorbacks in Men’s College World Series action.

OMAHA, NE ― Day 2 of the 2025 Men's College World Series saw powerhouse LSU move into the winners bracket while mid-major darlings Murray State will face elimination against Arkansas. The Tigers saw a strong start from Kade Anderson in a 4-1 win over the Razorbacks, while UCLA defeated the Racers, 6-4.

Sparked by a 4-run fourth, the 15th-seeded Bruins hang on 6-4 as the unseeded Racers chip away but come up short; UCLA gets No. 3 Arkansas or No. 6 LSU next.

The #3 Razorbacks fell to #6 LSU 4-1 Saturday night in the opening round of the College World Series. The lone run was off the bat from a Kennett native. Reese Robinett hit a solo home run in the bottom of the 6th.

The greatest show on dirt began with a thrilling start on Friday as Coastal Carolina used an 8th-inning two-out RBI single and some clutch pitching to overcome Arizona and extend their nation-leading win streak to 24 consecutive games.

The first one involves Kennewick High graduate Danny Dickinson and the College Baseball World Series. The second one involves former Kamiakin High basketball standout Scot Pollard, who went on to play 11 seasons in the National Basketball Association.

By qualifying for the CWS this season, Arkansas ties Clemson and North Carolina with 12 appearances and no championships (to date). The Razorbacks are making their eighth appearance in the CWS since 2008.
