Ferrari’s rollout of Lewis Hamilton has hit its first bump in the road. According to multiple reports Hamilton crashed during testing at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, home of the Spanish Grand Prix and site of three days of pre-season testing for Ferrari ahead of the 2025 campaign.

The incident happened during a three-day test at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in the team’s 2023 F1 car.

Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc ’s absence has been revealed at a vital Ferrari test in Barcelona according to reports from Italian media. The new Formula 1 team-mates returned to action this week at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, where they continued to drive the SF-23 under the Testing of Previous Car (TPC) rules.

Taking to social media after the reported accident, F1 journalist Scott Mitchell-Malm wrote: "Lewis Hamilton crashed during Ferrari’s private test with its 2023 #F1 car at Barcelona. Made contact with the barriers and caused damage that can be repaired today.

It seems as though Lewis Hamilton might still be figuring out his footing at Ferrari's testing days. At least, based on the fact that the seven-time Formula 1 champion crashed during his second test day with the team, while testing in Spain.
