A sprawling tropical system churning toward the Gulf Coast threatens to bring significant rain and flash flooding this week to a large swath of the southeast, from the Florida panhandle to Louisiana and parts of eastern Texas.
The National Weather Service issued a flood advisory at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday in effect until 9:15 p.m. for Erie County.
On Wednesday at 4:44 p.m. the NWS Raleigh NC released a flood advisory in effect until 7:45 p.m. for Scotland County.
As the water rises, so does the Kerr County community, especially one man who reunited a brother and sister, swept away in the flood.
A tropical disturbance and the heavy rain moving along with it will bring a risk of flash flooding to Florida and the central Gulf Coast in the coming days, particularly in southern Louisiana, including New Orleans and Baton Rouge.
EDT on Thursday, the National Weather Service released a flood warning in effect until 8 a.m. EDT for Crawford and Otsego counties.
