A 6-year-old boy drowned in a Michigan river during a family reunion, police say. A family in Michigan is mourning after police say a 6-year-old boy wandered off and drowned at a family reunion, news outlets report.

A 42-year-old man entered the Traverse City Walmart around 4:43 p.m. on Saturday and used a folding knife to stab five males and six females, according to the Grand Traverse County Sheriff's Office.

Dave Kook, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service, confirmed the tornado, citing the video and preliminary damage reports. "We've got someone up there doing a survey right now to assess the damage and possible strength of the first tornado," Kook said.

Authorities found the body of 14-year-old Kyle Williams of Milwaukee after a days-long search at Illinois Beach State Park.

A barn was destroyed, and a home and crops were damaged as a result of the tornado, according to the National Weather Service.
