The Trump administration published a new and shorter list of cities, counties and states that it has defined as sanctuary jurisdictions, months after a much longer version faced pushback from local officials.

The Department of Justice named Nevada a sanctuary state Tuesday, stating it had "policies, laws, or regulations that impede enforcement of federal immigration laws."

Connecticut has once again been listed as a sanctuary jurisdiction by the federal Department of Homeland Security. DHS in May released a list of states and cities it considered sanctuary jurisdictions,
