Boston Bruins goaltending prospect and former University of Notre Dame goaltender Ryan Bischel announced his retirement from professional hockey on his Instagram page on June 3.

Marchand is set to enter unrestricted free agency on July 1, the date when he will complete the eight-year, $49 million contract he signed with the Boston Bruins in 2016.
