The WAFCON 2024 final in Rabat delivered one of the most dramatic matches in African women’s football history. Nigeria came from two goals down to defeat Morocco 3-2, securing their record-extending tenth Women’s Africa Cup of Nations title.
Morocco's Ghizlane Chebbak finished as top scorer with five goals, including one in the final. The hosts' captain had already finished as the top scorer in the 2022 edition, alongside Nigeria's Rasheedat Ajibade and South Africa's Hildah Magaia (3 goals).
