The Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime (SCOC) has found the former mayor of Himara, Jorgo Goro, guilty, sentencing him to 2 years and 20 days in prison on charges of abuse of office.

The Court of Appeal has upheld the 18-year prison sentence for Arjan Tase, the former police officer who caused the tragic death of 7-year-old Jonada Avdia on Potami beach in Himara, in August 2022.
