Son Heung-Min is getting closer to a move to LAFC in the MLS after announcing his intentions to leave Tottenham Hotspur this summer. The South Korean forward is 33 years old, and a move to the United States has surprised many.

LAFC have reached an agreement with Tottenham to sign Heung-min Son. Standard Sport understands that the deal could be worth as much as £20million, which would surpass the record $22m (£16.6m) fee paid for a Major League Soccer player, set by Emmanuel Latte Lath’s move to Atlanta United in February 2025.
