A child attacked by a mountain lion at Washington's Olympic National Park is being treated in Seattle. Rangers eliminated the threat after locating the cougar.

A mountain lion that bit a 4-year-old child on a popular trail at Olympic National Park in Washington State was euthanized on Monday, park officials said.

"I don't think that kid would survive if it wasn't for his dad jumping in," hiker Steve Murrow told KIRO 7. "He's a hero."
