William Christopher "Dabo" Swinney (/ ˈ d æ b oʊ ˈ s w iː n iː /; [1] born November 20, 1969) is an American college football coach, currently serving as the head football coach at Clemson University where they lost to the Gamecocks 17-14 in the 2024 matchup.

Since October 2008, Dabo Swinney has served as Clemson's head coach. [2] The team has played in over 1,300 games over 129 seasons. [3] [4] In that time, eight coaches have led Clemson to postseason bowl games: Jess Neely, Frank Howard, Charley Pell, Danny Ford, Ken Hatfield, Tommy West, Tommy Bowden, and Swinney. [1]
