It’s partly about the main themes of the album but mainly it’s about the aftermath of the death of my dad, Jack. Not as morbid as it sounds… hopefully. It’s been 18 years since we released Chasing Cars and the album it’s featured on, Eyes Open. Here we are playing it at the mighty Abbey Road Studios back in 2006. Getting to play and record in this almost mythical place where The Beatles (and so many others) recorded many of their albums was so exciting for us and I remember being very nervous at the time. To be honest any time we have recorded there since then I was also nervous. As if even disturbing the atoms of such a sacred place is sacrile
