When America Follows India? Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata, is the most famous university of its kind in the world. It even inspired the establishment of U.S. institute of statistics. Its Director, Padma Shri awardee Dr. Sanghamitra Bandyopadhyay, graciously allowed me to stay in the same guest house room where Indian President Pranab Mukherjee had stayed during his visit to ISI in 2014.
