Now, normally with just a runner on first, MIF shifts to cover second and third and the 3B is charging while 1B stays home. But we have a runner on third. So the corners are charging. The 2B needs to be moving towards 1B to cover first or back up and the SS reads. He’s moving to cover second but can also then pivot and run to cover third if needed. Bunt defense
