Alice “Tan” Ridley-Sidibe, mother of Oscar nominee Gabourey Sidibe and a standout semifinalist on “America’s Got Talent” in 2010, has passed away at 72. Known as a pillar of NYC’s music scene, “Tan” performed for over 30 years in subway stations and sang at Harlem’s Cotton Club. Her family, including son Ahmed, now mourns her loss.
