Today county councillors voted to accept a county deal with the Government. This a major opportunity for Norfolk. Having a Council Leader who is directly elected by the public will allow the Government to hear Norfolk’s voice loud and clear. The county deal will allow us to make more decisions in Norfolk, for Norfolk. It will secure investment of more than £600m over 30 years. We had a brilliant couple of days at The Royal Norfolk Show this week and our theme this year was to 'Unlock your Potential'. We showed how people can thrive in our county with potentials for children, families, employment, and businesses. We also showcased how to recycle and travel better, and how to improve environmental credentials. We also gave out lots of free water refills with Refill HQ.
